| Abstract: | A list of all the invertebrates known to be dependent on decaying wood in Britain and Ireland. The species names are annotated with basic information on the known ecology and distribution. The British list currently approaches 1800 species while the Irish list contains just over 600 species. The listing is intended to be a starting point for further analysis of this important fauna |
